    Souvenir
    Postcards in “Mail Bag”
    This original souvenir from NYC is in very good condition. The mini postcards are on a heavy paper which has handled being stored for 80 years in a scrapbook very well. The mini “mail bag” is in fine condition also, The lettering on the bag has not faded, and the leather at the top has not cracked. The heavy paper (linen?) is not creased or bent.
    The Chrysler Building card has yellowed noticeably, and the tie that closes the bag shows some wear. Please look at photos carefully.
    This adorable souvenir miniature “mail bag” from New York City has such a great nostalgic quality, doesn’t it? I am not sure of the exact year it was from, but it was in the early 1940’s, as that is when my mother created the college scrapbook that it had been in.
    The stamps have been canceled, but I do not see a date. Note that the tag has writing on it.

    Empire State Building
    Chrysler Building
