    Description

This is fine British Victorian 1896 Sudan and Queen’s South Africa 5-Place Medal Bar awarded to a member of the 1st Battalion, Camron Highlanders that is in excellent condition. The bar consists of the 1896 Sudan Medal, the 1899-1902 Queen’s South Africa Medal with bars, ‘WITTEBERGEN’, ‘DIAMOND HILL’, JOHANNESBURG’, CAPE COLONY’, the King’s South Africa Medal with bars, ‘SOUTH AFRICA 1901’ and ‘SOUTH AFRICA 1902’, the George V Long Service & Good Conduct Medal, and the 1897 Khedive’s Medal with bars, ‘KHARTOUM’ and ‘THE ATBARA’. All medals are correctly named to ‘2974 Pte. C. Reddyloff – 1/Cam. Highrs.’ and suspended from their original ribbons. The medals are swing mounted on a 5-place medal bar with functional pin and catch. This remains a fine-looking group to a long service British Highlander who saw much action in North and South Africa during the colonial period of British military history
