WW1 KIA Casualty Trio to 42nd Bn. (Black Watch of Canada), HaleAll named to: 418600 Pte. A.B. Hale 42 Can. Inf.
Archibald Boyd Hale was born on 30 June 1894 in Montreal, Quebec. He had 3 years prior service with the Montreal Garrison Artillery when he attested in March 1915. On 13 January 1916 he received grenade wounds to both legs. He was killed in action on 1st October 1916 and is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial.
