    Description

    Up for sale is this wonderful vintage glass tip tray from the Gibson Steak House located on Park Avenue South at 28th Street in New York City.  It features an old phone number pneumonic MU5 (Murray Hill 5).  The tray is black glass with a white and red overlay decal on the front.  It measures 4-3/8" in diameter and has no chips or cracks.  There are a couple minor dots of paint loss near the top of the young lady's hat (see last photo).   I could not find any information on the web about this restaurant.   What appears on the corner where I think this once was located is a McDonalds.....sad, isn't it?   Thanks for looking.
