SET OF 2 EACH Vintage 1977 "I LOVE NEW YORK" STICKER DECALS & TWO ROUND PINBACKS
Bought when visiting New York City and the east coast in the summer of 1977.
This branded slogan with this typography was used beginning in 1977 to create tourism business for travel to New York City. It successfully continued for years and was branded on many souvenirs of New York City at the time.
Condition of all four items: "New". Never used. Excellent but please review the photos and read the descriptions to decide for yourself as I am not an expert in quality assessment.
Decals:
Size: 9.75" W x 2.75" H inches
White background with black lettering and a red heart graphic for the word "love".
Still firmly affixed to the backing.
Slight aging to front and back surfaces.
Some surface wear and some edge dust around perimeter.
Color is excellent and retains its original glossy finish on decal surface.
I LOVE NEW YORK PINBACK:
1.5" inches diameter.
Metal pinback surface does show signs of aging/tarnish.
USA manufacturer info along perimeter backing.
LENTICULAR STATUE OF LIBERTY ROUND PINBACK:
2.25" inches diameter.
Red verbiage "NEW YORK" curved along top perimeter to the right.
Lenticular surface when moved shows motion of image: Lady Liberty with a red apple in her hand and her arm extended over her head and the second image shows her arm bent with the apple in her hand at her mouth taking a bite out of the "big apple."
Metal back surface does show signs of surface wear/tarnish.
Has been stored for 44 years in an odor-free, smoke-free, dark storage facility.
These all are officially licensed souvenir items that were available during the extremely successful "I LOVE NEW YORK" campaign that started in 1977.
