    Description

Selling a wood turners 2-piece hand held depth drill handle and 9/16” HSS, 2mt taper drill bit. Good for boring long holes up to approximately 12” deep with this taper bit. Solves the problems of a short lathe bed in drilling long holes on center. Start you drilling project with a shorter bit in your tail stock. This give you a pilot hole on center. Then use the hand held depth drill to finish the long hole boring. Pilot hole doesn't need to be the same size as the 9/16" extended bit.
The handle will work with any size # 2 MT Morse Taper drill bit. The handle has access ports for drift pin use in removing tight tapers. Use only with taper bits that have a tang so they can easily be removed. CNC tapers can be difficult to remove from the handle. The handle is made from straight grain Hard wood and finished with 3 coats of water base polyurethane.
The 9/16” drill bit is used and should be sharpened.

    A Note on Shipping Times:
I use the USPS for all my shipping. I’ve been checking the tracking on the items I’ve shipped and the USPS is taking twice as long for items to be delivered. The longest delay was 17 days for a 3-day priority mail package. Most are 6 to 8 days to complete the delivery. This is largely due to the carriers not scanning the packages when they pick them up. No scan, No tracking, slow delivery times. My carrier tells me that the USPS is overwhelmed with package deliveries and they are working with skeleton crews due to the virus. Many postal workers have no child care and can’t report to work.
Please be patient with the USPS.
