    Private William Ernest Hampson, 18, of the 8th Service Battalion, Devonshire Regiment, died from pneumonia at the 39th Casualty Clearing Station in Istrana, Italy. He was the son of John and Martha Ann Hampson, of 103, Gibraltar Street, Bolton, Lancashire.
