Description
Wilfred Arthur Rudge MM, born in 1895, was a distinguished military officer who served in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment and later transferred to H Company, 2nd Special Battalion of the Royal Engineers during World War I. His gallantry earned him the prestigious Military Medal (MM). Rudge also worked as a telephone linesman, residing in Harborne and Bearwood, Smethwick, and by 1939, was a telecommunications linesman in Smethwick. Tragically, Rudge passed away in 1971, leaving a legacy of bravery and service.
